NTCC and UT Tyler Partner for Technology Training

MOUNT PLEASANT, TEXAS – Northeast Texas Community College and The University of Texas at Tyler recently formed a new partnership to benefit the students of the Industrial Technology Training Center (ITTC). Through a 2+2 articulation agreement students who complete an Associate of Applied Science degree in Industrial Technology at NTTC can smoothly transfer into UT Tyler’s Industrial Technology bachelor’s degree program. This will prepare students for a variety of jobs in technical professions.

The ITTC in Mount Pleasant opened in 2011 as a partnership between NTCC, the Mount Pleasant Economic Development Corporation and Mount Pleasant ISD. The facility was created to meet the evolving needs of area employers in the manufacturing industry. The center started with 20 students and is now over 200 students are enrolled. Most than 80 students have received degrees or certificates from the program since it began.
