WHAT IS IT: The census records how many people are living in the U.S. and five U.S. territories. Under the Constitution, Article 1, Section 2, the U.S. must conduct this census every ten years. It is important to complete this year’s census.
WHY: It is required by the law to participate in the census. Federal funding is often allocated based on population. Census results affect planning and funding for healthcare, education, infrastructure, employment and more. Let’s make everyone know that Mount Pleasant counts.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: It’s quick and easy. You can complete the census online, by phone, or by mail.
